Let me tell you a story about this Princess Leia. In ‘77, I was a typical 7 yr old. i owned all of the Star Wars figures that were available (12, just 12). One day while playing with them in the yard, I buried Leia. Who knows why? I was 7. Perhaps, it was a mock funeral, as most of the poor characters suffered mortal wounds in my scenarios eventually (blasters are dangerous). I moved on to something else and forgot Leia. I remembered later that I buried her, but could not remember where. My parents were kind enough to replace her, and the original was forgotten.
Fast forward 23 years and my father, doing yard work dug up….Leia!!! He presented her to me (and my amused wife). Here she is dirt and all, surrounded by a few friends. You may now return to your life.
My lunch box collection so far. I am a poor excuse for a photographer.
Buck’s hitting the sauce
If you haven’t read this to you child, well….then you really aren’t a good parent are you?
